Romeo and Juliet Act 5

1. Do you feel sympathy for the Capulet's, Nurse, and Paris when they express grief over Juliet's death? Why or why not? (Give an explanation for each):

Capulet's: I don't feel sympathy for the Capulet's, but I do at the same time because they didn't care for her to listen to what she has to say. And then I do feel sympathy because that was there daughter.

Nurse: Yes I do feel sympathy for the nurse because she knew Juliet for a long time. Nurse was considered like a mother to Juliet. Then all of a sudden Juliet was dead.

Paris: I do not feel sympathy towards Paris because he didn't react toward her death. I believe he doesn't even care about Juliet, hes probably looking for another women to marry.

2. How might older and younger audiences differ in their opinion of Romeo's and Juliet's actions? Explain your opinion by using specific examples from the play.
 - If older and younger audiences would have watched this, I think the older audience will think that this was dumb. They don't even no each other like that. They only did it because of love. When it comes down to the younger audiences I think that the younger audience would understand Romeo and Juliet's situation because they are younger and they know how it is when it comes to love and they are younger. Also the younger Audience knows how parents act when it comes to love and they don't like the person.

3. Do you believe the risks that Juliet have taken are justified in her attempt to avoid marriage with Paris? Could Juliet have gotten out of the marriage in any other way? Explain your opinion using details from Act 3 and Act 4.
- I think that Juliet took to many risks just because of her love with Romeo and that she is thinking to much about it. If I were her I would just listen to my parents and just marry Paris instead of going through the trouble of drinking a potion that I don't even know if i would wake up in the morning. I think that it would have been better to just runaway with Romeo when it was early in the morning without anyone knowing because that way both of them know that they are alive and well.

Romeo and Juliet Act 3

1. Look over your Act 3 Chart -- which event do you believe creates the most problems for Romeo and Juliet? Explain using examples from the text.
- The event i believe that created the most problems is when Mercutio, Tybalt and Romeo started to fight. This created all this mess. Romeo wouldn't have had to leave the town and Mercutio wouldn't have been dead. Everything would of been alright if they never started to fight.
2. Make sure answer all three parts:
A.) What is Romeo's motivation (reason) for killing Tybalt?
B.)What are the consequences of this action?
C.) Do you believe his behavior is justified revenge or a disastrous mistake? Explain.
- Rome's motivation for killing Tybalt is because Tybalt killed his best friend Mercutio and he wanted revenge, he killed his best friend. The consequences of killing Tybalt is that he is kicked out of town and he wont be able to see Juliet anymore.I believe Romeo did the right thing. If i was in that case and someone killed my friend that was like my brother, in my face i would be mad. And i would want to kill them. So i thought that was a right thing to do
3. What major decisions have Romeo and Juliet made in the play so far (name at least 3)? Which of these decisions do you support? Which do you think were foolish or too sudden? Explain.
- One major decision Romeo and Juliet made was getting married. I think this was a good choice because someone cant tell you who to love. It was a good Choice. Second decision they mad was to have sexual intercourse with each other. I think this was bad because there to long but if everybody done that back in the days i guess its right. One last thing is  when he killed Tybalt. This was right because that was like his brother and i would have wanted revenge.

Rome and Juliet Act 2

1. Why do you believe Romeo and Juliet rush to get married after declaring their love? Support your inference with evidence from the text. Then explain whether you think the young lovers get married too soon, and why or why not.
-I believe Romeo and Juliet rushed to get married because If anyone new that they were in love with each other they would be in trouble. So they got married fast so know one will no that they were in love with each other. I think they got married to fast because they don't even no each other. They need to spend some more time together.
2.   On page. 983, re-read Mercutio's lines 77-81. In these lines, Mercutio expresses his relief that Romeo seems to be himself again. What is Mercutio's opinion about people who "brood over love"? What might be the purpose of including Mercutio's opinion on love?
-I think they included Mercutio's opinion because they want some conflict. Since he doesn't like love they want there a problem in the story

3. What aspects of the play have you found to be the most realistic? Explain. What aspects do you find hard to believe? Explain.
-What i found hard to believe was about when Romeo and Juliet found love in one day and they got married the next day. I really think that it is impossible to do. What i believe is real when they went to the party and they was having a good time.

Romeo and Juliet Act 1

1. Character foils: A foil is a character who highlights, through contrast (differences), the qualities of another character. Identify two characters in Act 1 who are foils for each other. What do you learn about the characters by seeing them in contrast to one another?
-I think who foils for each other is Nurse and Lady Capulet. Nurse is more of a mother/motherly person to Juliet than Lady Capulet is. Nurse also cares more what Juliet wants. Nurse is also more easily to talk to and understanding. Lady Capulet does what she and her husband thinks is best.

2. Both Romeo and Juliet foreshadow in the Act - what do they foreshadow? Make a prediction of what you believe might happen. Juliet's foreshadowing is located on pg. 966, Romeo's on 963.
-Juliet's foreshadowing will be when she asked the nurse to go ask someone his name tat means that she interested in him. Romeo foreshadowing is that he talks about her saying that he is in love with her
